The Remmington Security 00875 B/W Camera with 6 IR LEDs provides a high-quality image from a compact camera. With features such nighttime picture reception, the Remmington Security 00875 is a good basic addition to any compatible observation system from home monitoring applications to business security installations.
The 00875’s utilizes a 0.33-inch black-and-white CCD (charge-coupled device) image sensor with a 3.8mm fixed lens, and achieves a high horizontal resolution of 450 TVL (TV lines). Already excellent in low-light conditions with a minimum illumination of 0.2 Lux to infinity, this unit includes 6 IR (infrared) LEDs (light-emitting diode) that allow it to see in no-light (0 Lux) conditions within a limited distance. Designed primarily for indoor use, the 00875 includes a 60-foot connecting cable that allows placement flexibility. Using RCA connectors, the easy-to-install 00875 connects to most any standard TV, VCR or monitor. Users should note that the CCD image sensor in this camera may become permanently damaged if exposed to long hours of direct sunlight or halogen light, so the camera should not be mounted or pointed directly at the sun or other bright-light sources.

Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors offer less image quality, but are usually more cost-effective and energy efficient.
